I'm starting to develop a routine, finally. One of the biggest changes this week was with Yeji landing a job. She's going to be doing some housekeeping duties at the hotel which is directly behind my office. That means I don't even have to switch parking spaces. It's incredibly convenient. She goes in to work for 8am so that's also been a motivator to get my days back on track and into standard daylight hours. It's 8:30am right now and I've been in the office for over half an hour already.

As Shelley wrote in the comments, Friday was my 30th birthday. The more noticeable change occurred the day before though. I was getting tired of the heat in the office, and also becoming a bit more conscious of me getting into the mundane business world more and more. On Thursday, I popped down to Jerry's Barbershop and got a major, earth-shattering trim. The beard's gone too. Wouldn't you know it though? I went next door to buy cigarettes from the same store I always go to... and the carded me! At thirty years of age!

Friday itself was somewhat relaxed. I attended the opening ceremony of the Irish Festival and spent the rest of the afternoon at work. We had cake after supper and then I took Yeji out driving for a while. She's still a bit timid behind the wheel but there are lots of country roads to practice on here.

Saturday we visited Colin and Tammy's for a delicious barbecue (her birthday was Monday too, so there's been lots of cake floating around). This week so far has been work, work, work.

On the office front, after already cutting my hair off, the landlord came by and fixed the air conditioner. The other office, which has the thermostat, was found to be 25 deg. Celsius. We guess that my office must have been a rather consistent 30 degrees. Anyway... it's much cooler now.
